Joe Firstman"The War Of Women" Ah, yes, this release packs quite a punch. There's a number of things I look for in a good album and this one has 'em all. Excellent production, solid, well written tunes, a variety in the musical style, passion, energy, something fresh. There's a bit of rock, a lot of "radio friendly," some mellow stuff, a little bit of everything. The first track that really hit me was "Slave Or Siren," which was a straight forward rock 'n' roll song. "Chasing You Down" was a bit laid back. But, it still had that heavy element to it. I'm tempted to use the term "power ballad," but, I didn't really consider it a ballad...although it had a lot of power. Yeah! It takes one listen to realize how exceptional this release really is. However, you do need to go through it a few times in order to take it all in since there's so much going on here. There's probably a few number one hits on this album and I'm sure it's gonna be a million seller. Joe Firstman is an artist to keep your eye on because this guy's gonna be huge, there's no doubt about it. |
