Feature Interview with Dawn Moore
|
By Paul Autry PAUL: First of all, please introduce yourself to the Ballbuster readers. DAWN: Hi, I'm Dawn. First, I would like to thank BallBuster for publishing my picture's and taking the time in interviewing with me. You guy's have been nothing but great to work with. PAUL: How would you describe yourself as a person? DAWN: Actually really shy. I know from looking at my picture's you probably wouldn't think so, but I am. Some people mistake my shyness with being "stuck up" or "vain", which is definitely not the case. People generally see that once they get past the exterior that I am a fun loving person. PAUL: What made you decide to start modeling and, have you had any previous experience with it? DAWN: I take a lot of pride in myself, so what better way than in picture's. I love being photographed. I only started modeling a couple year's ago, so I am still fairly new to this. PAUL: How do you decide what magazines to become involved in (can you name a few that you've appeared in or will be appearing in). DAWN: The thing's I look for would be the editorial content first. What their features are, highlights, and is the magazine itself reputable and established. I've appeared in The Grimoire of Exalted Deeds Issue #12 and on their website, Disclocator, Several band websites, just to name a few. Coming up, I'll be on the Motley Crue Website, BadBones, and was currently asked to be in The 1/2 Creeper. PAUL: How has the response been to your pictures so far and are you happy with what you've done so far? DAWN: I've had a great response and I am ecstatic with what I've done. I've met alot of great people through doing this. I've never had a negative response from anyone, whether it be people in general, magazines, etc... Especially, magazines, I've always had a positive feedback from any of the contacts that I've met and had the pleasure of working with. PAUL: What do you hope to accomplish by appearing in magazines, or is this just a hobby? Would you like to make a career out of it? DAWN: At the moment it is a hobby. I do have a day job. (laughs) A career would be great with the right people and company. PAUL: Okay, now, let's talk music. First of all, what are some of your favorite bands? DAWN: One of my all time favorites is Motley Crue. Their great! To name a few others would be Pantera, Metallica, Oleander, Creed, King Diamond, Sevendust. As you can see, my taste varies. I like a lot of older Metal stuff as well. Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Dream Theatre, Ozzy. Yes, I'm an 80's kinda girl! (laughs) PAUL: In your opinion, what are the top rock and roll albums of all time? DAWN: Motley Crue-Shout at the Devil; Ozzy-Diary of a Madman; Metallica-Master of Puppets; Creed-My Own Prison; Mercyful Fate-9; Overkill-From The Underground and Below; Kiss-Kiss Alive; Pantera-Cowboys From Hell; At The Gates-Slaughter of the Souls. PAUL: Since this magazine deals with a lot of unsigned/independent bands, what do you look for in an "unknown," ya know, what do they have to do to get your attention and your support? DAWN: Good musicianship definitely. They have to be tight in what their playing, and their writing abilities have to be of worth in order to catch my eye. I like a band that's energetic and gives the audience a show. PAUL: Are you active in the music scene? DAWN: I've done PR work for several bands in the past. It's alot of fun. I myself was a vocalist in a band. So, I'm no stranger to the music scene. PAUL: Any final words to the people who will be looking at your pictures and reading this interview? DAWN: Go to the site, and VOTE! For the people that already did vote, Thanks, and I'll be back! Until next time... Back to Ballbuster Babes! |
