By Jeff Scalf Of the very little Hard Core that I can get into, what I do like is usually as much Death Metal as it is HC. And so is the case with this band. This doesn't appear to be typical Hard Core and is more of an original mixture of Death/HC that is nicely effective. Embodyment has a unique sound which is a notable point right off the bat. Yet they take that sound and make great use of it by writing memorable and original songs. Their range of audio assaults range from blasting and grinding death to drudging slow mosh-like parts with enough middle ground for the two to combine and do justice. A good listen! ©1999, BBHrdRpt |
