"Animatronic" by The Kovenant is an awesome CD. This mix of industrial, black, death metal, and straight-ahead metal, is sure to get even the most stoic listener banging their head. The Kovenant features members of Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Mayhem and Arcturus. Each brings in their own style creating ten phenomenal tracks of industrial, death metal. Each song on the CD holds you in a trance like mental state eagerly awaiting the next lyrical slaughter, operatic chorus, awesome guitar solo or breathtaking keyboard work. The Kovenant creates their own style of music that is sure to plague the ears of metal fans everywhere. "Prophecies of Fire", which was supposed to be the title of the CD, is an intense song with interesting keyboard work. What is most impressive about The Kovenant is the fact that one stylistic preference does not overshadow the other. This is due to the extreme talent of every member of the band and their ability to play diverse styles of music. There is a healthy mix of everything any metal fan has ever wanted to hear. The Kovenant has succeeded in creating a whole new genre of music and it is awesome.
