The Lynch Mob is back once again with "Smoke This," an incredible, twelve
song release that will probably come as a suprise to most die hard fans.
Many would associate George Lynch with rock and roll, which makes sense
because that's the style of music he has played ever since we've known
him. But, it would seem that George is now taking his music in another
direction, as if he cleared his mind and walked into this project with a
fresh, new energy in order to give his fans something different.
The band includes vocalist Kirk Harper, bassist Gabe Rosales, drummer
Clancy McCarthy and guitar great, the man himself, George Lynch.
Together, they have created an album that sounds like a combination of
industrial, funk, metal and hip hop. Not what you expected, huh? Well,
let me tell you, this album is a kick ass release. If you decide to give
it a chance, you'll be treated to some amazing music that will leave you
wanting more. I have to admit, true, I'd like to see George playing the
style of music he did with Dokken or on the first two Lynch Mob releases.
It's because of those releases that I know who this guy is. But,
honestly, I don't have any complaints about this disc, I enjoyed it, the
music is explosive and it's sure to gain the Lynch Mob a few new fans.
All hail the new and improved Lynch Mob!
