By Paul Autry If melodic hard rock is your style of music, PC 69 is a band that delivers. "Electrified" is the title of their eleven-song album and that pretty much says it all. I listened to this album a number of times from beginning to end. But on my first listen, by the third song, I already knew what to say about this band (and I really don't have to say all that much). Hey, I have three words for you...rock and roll. That's it. Enough said. Well, maybe not. With all the different labels out there, some of you may have forgotten what "rock and roll" means. I mean, you have all those fancy words now...alternative, progressive, post-modern, whatever. You can't listen to music anymore unless you play the name game. So, for those of you who forgot the true meaning of rock and roll, let me spell it out for you. Melody...well-written songs...fun (and that's the key word here). The kind of music that Joan Jett loves, what KISS wanted to do all night, AC/DC said it was a long way to the top if you wanted to do it. Hell, even the Bay City Rollers wrote you a love letter about it! The point is, long before MTV started telling you what was cool and what wasn't, this was the kind of music that YOU listened to. Music that made you feel good and put a smile on your face. "Electrified" is one of the greatest albums you will ever hope to hear. Don't let your music collection be without this release!
