When he's not directing adult movies, Matt Zane is making music. His band goes by the name Society 1 and the lineup features Devin Norris on guitar, Justin Reynolds on bass, Jame Potter on drums and Matt on vocals. Together, these guys have created a sound that I would compare to Needulhed, whom some of you may remember from previous issues of BallBuster. Although their sound is more straightforward with a more serious tone to it. There's a lot of style on this album...from hardcore to industrial to punk to metal. There's even some hip hop style vocals. Society 1 is the kind of band that you shouldn't expect anything from because once you put them in a corner and say, "this is who they are," they'll surprise you by doing something new. This is a talented group of musicians who, from what I've heard on this release, will continue to grow and take extreme music to the extreme. Very highly recommended!
