By Jym Harris Even before the first listen, I noticed the CD cover is a parody of 'Black And Blue', and the Stones influence became apparent...even if their sound is a bit more in the Cheap Trick vein. Already, the few members of DPM have gotten my dough at one time or another, since they're all from other 'big' bands. I flew down and stayed at the Hard Rock in Vegas to see the Poison/Ratt (with Keri Kelly) show, and was an adamant supporter of Ryan Roxie's Electric Angels (even after he left and they became The Loveless). The other guys are from Slash's Snakepit (yeah...me neither) and LA Guns. I was really excited to hear them, but maybe it's too much to ask DPM to be the equivalent of all their old bands combined. The album does have it's moments though, like tracks #2 and #8. Gotta hand one thing to 'em...It's a great band name! Contact: www.conspiracymusic.com |
