By BecA Marshall Hednoize is a two man project featuring Psykosonik founder Daniel Lenz and Free on vocals. "Searching for the End" has an early Nine Inch Nails meets Depeche Mode sound with the dark ambiance of the Cure. This album is definitely dark and not for the happy go lucky music listener. I don't even know how to define the sound of Hednoize. Although, they are definitely an electronic band, the overall product is not as fast tempo as one would expect from an industrial/electronic band. Its very mellow attitude just adds to the darkness of the album. Track four, "Drain" picks up the tempo a bit but there are still the dark and moody vocals of Free contributing to the melodic side of the music. Hednoize is definitely worth checking out if you are into dark, moody, emotional, industrial music. © 2000, BBHrdRpt
