By Tate Bengtson Eight tracks of unrelenting death/thrash that suffers from a weak production and simplistic songwriting that isn’t overly memorable. Plenty of low-tuned riffs and sepulchral thrash snarls dominate this release in a manner that draws a direct line of comparison to Sodom, but Invasion lacks that certain magic which their heroes possess. Certainly not a bad release, and one that could potentially score a bit of a cult following, but I’ll take Sodom any day of the week. The Plague, P.O. Box 277, 6300 AG Valkenburg, The Netherlands |
