By Paul Autry This is the perfect example of why bands should have their shit together when they go into the studio to record. The production on this release really makes the songs suffer, which is a shame because, well, the songs are pretty damn cool. I actually liked this disc (and the video for the title song). In my opinion, this is rough, 80's based rock 'n' roll. That's the style of music that my personal tastes lean to, which explains why I got into this release. But, honestly, these guys could have done much better. I'm sure the songs sound a whole hell of a lot better live, but, in the studio, they didn't come across as well as they should have. Still, I believe this is a band that will go somewhere as long as they release a product that will add to the songs, not take away from it. I was also a bit disappointed that this was supposed to be an enhanced CD, with the video for the title song being included. But, I put it into my computer, all I got were the songs, there wasn't a video to be found. What's up with that? I really didn't miss anything because I already have the video, but still, if you're gonna advertise that it's on here, you should make sure it's on here. |
