By Paul Autry This is one of the coolest, heaviest and scariest compilation albums that has ever came across my desk. There's enough good music on this disc to raise the dead and it sure beats the hell out of most of the other compilation CD's that are out there. Everybody's favorite dead guy, The Cryptkeeper, introduces and awesome line up of songs. Black Sabbath's "Heaven & Hell," Megadeth's "Five Magics," Mercyful Fate's "The Bell Witch," Queensryche's "Eyes Of A Stranger," "Beyond The Black" by Metal Church and, well, the list goes on...Judas Priest, Armored Saint, Pantera, Apartment 26, Arch Enemy, Dio, Anthrax, Entombed and The Haunted. Personally, I feel the highlight here is Prong's "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck." That's just a damn cool song in my opinion. On top of all these kick ass tunes, The Cryptkeeper throws in his two cents at various times during the course of the album. It's like "The Beavis & Butthead Experience" album from hell and it's a release that belongs in every true metal collection. |
