By Wayne Klinger Even though I kind of put MA on the back burner after "Covenant" release (no--not that I hated it---just getting into other bands and buying CD's on my priority list!!), I seemed to step off the path a bit and got caught in the industrial craze at the moment--SYL, Fear Factory, etc. So this shows up in the mail and I pop it in and like I was rejuvenated from 30 to 17 again, MA kicks my ass and just put me in awe once again with a blistering release of guitar punishment! Not really taking a bad direction musically, MA has kept the heaviness and speed with even more daring songwriting with a step back to the "Blessed..." days and slowing down here and there showing more of a perspective of the band's music capabilities. 11 tracks and will be highly appreciated by me and most likely the fans too!! Colossal guitarwork--in-your-face riffs and pounding bass/drums--everything is just utterly kick-ass. A definite must have!! © 2000, BBHrdRpt
