Riding the wave of re-surgence, Lemmy, guitarist Philip Campbell and drummer Mikkey Dee have assembled just under 40 minutes of metal done right. Even on the genre's obligatory sappy ballad "One More Fucking Time," Lemmy is anything but sappy when he growls "Both your eyes wide open/ You see the shape I'm in / It wasn't my idea/ that I'd be the one to sin." Opener "See Me Burning" gets the award for most suggestive lyrics when Lemmy insists "What's the matter baby/ Don't you want to play/ Come on over later, bring your sister/ I swear to you she won't be in the way." "Slow Dance" follows with an equally raunchy guitar riff. And so when Lemmy proclaims, "We are Motorhead/Born to kick your ass" on the last track, "We Are Motorhead," you can't help but put your fist in the air and say, "Metal lives!"
