A four song CD that can be described as heavy music with hints of hardcore. The sound is somewhat raw, which I normally frown on. But, in this case, I honestly think the rawness brings out a better quality to the songs. If this was spit and polished, I don't think I would've liked it as much as I did. I'm not saying that I went all ape over this because I didn't. My socks are still on my feet. But, I did find it rather enjoyable to listen to and, once again, that raw feeling caught my attention. It sounds like...ya know when you go out to see a band live and they have a sound guy who really knows his shit? That's the feeling I get here...and that's a good thing. I don't know how well that feeling would carry over to a full length recording, but, for "California Sunshine," it works.
