By Paul Hanson sHeavy will never be accused of not sounding like Ozzy's Black Sabbath. What their last CD, "Electric Sheep" did was garner them a lot of press attention. This, their follow-up, is more of the same groove, a little less Osbourne in the vocal range. The band is taking steps away from being pigeon-holed as a copycat band and moving forward with their own style. The guitar's groove is mid-tempo and allows the rest of the band to collapse around it. "Stingray Part II" is a guitar showcase. "Celestial Hi-Fi" easily outdistances "Electric Sheep." |
