By Vinnie Apicella "We know we play metal well, so that is what we are going to stick with". Amen! The sentiments stated from a band that many of todays established acts would do well to follow. United is another of these groups that first got their start many years earlier only to have their musical growth and popularity stunted by an outbreak of lineup changes and unfavorable listening habits from the public at large. Now taking their show on the road, so to speak, this intense outfit speaks volumes-or rather screams-on "Distorted Vision", an album that leaves a deep branding on the ass of conservative market strategists everywhere. Hard to the core, the songs here epitomize rage and anger against society, government and… the world at large! It's not hard to see why they were hand-picked by none other than Slayer for the opening slot on their Japanese tour. Considering the degree of aggression and commitment United pours into their craft, others of the heavy music industry would do well to rethink their motives and get serious before this monsoon-like disturbance sends them reeling to an early retirement! |
