By Beca Marshall Finally, a band that has managed to combine technical music, melody and power. Unleashed Power is an awesome band that understands the importance of musicianship and songwriting. Killer riffs with strong solos by guitar player Ken Jacobsen, are a definite strong point of the album. Overall, Unleashed Power can be compared to Iced Earth in both overall feel of the songs and songwriting style. However, there could be more double bass in Unleashed Power's songs to intensify the heavy parts. Lyrically, the songs are strong and easy to relate to. Track two, "Calendar" is my favorite track on the album. Unleashed Power is an innovative band that sticks to its heavy metal roots but breaks into the progressive realm.
