By Wayne Klinger Germany still replenishes the lost days of "old school" metal despite all the years gone by and why not when the European music scene is more acceptable to metal compared to the States? Armistice is a long-running 4-piece which remind me of the Noise/SPV days of Vendetta and Assassin but some other bands as well like Canada's Annihilator,U.S. bands Wrath and COC(older) with vocals on the lines of Nuclear Assault's John Connelly. Sweating it out for 9 years and ths their 3rd release I believe,Armistice gut punch you with bold and fast thrash on these 12 tracks with a cover of the famous "Symptom of the Universe" which has been done over by many but more memorable from bands like Sepultura and Deathwish; nonetheless covered here well too. Armistice is very talented despite not all their material is that original but has the flavor to rekindle that old metal flame that must of us 30 somethings truly enjoy and even younger people who know what "true roots metal" is all about. c/o Stefan Fischer Bergstraße 1c D 85567 Grafing Germany
