By Wayne Klinger Another one of the underground's long-running bands from NY with a strange musical twist of jazz,metal,reggae and whatever they can conjure up for total originality. I didn't know what to expect since my last listen was aeons ago when they released stuff on Too Damn Hype. Without much hesitation,I popped this 3- songer in and I was quickly blown away of how much heavier this band got.Candiria can be the modern-day Voi Vod structurally but with the aforementioned attributes which seemed to tone down just a bit until you hear the non-LP third track which is instrumental and a warped one if that of nothing but a soundscape of different effects making the mind wander off. A more savvy approach by the band and as credit to them and a plus for the listener,they have a way of being different but yet punishing. www.candiria.com
