Comadose

As "Buzzkill"
blasts
it's way full volume through your speakers, into your head and out your
window, the shards of audio glass left behind will leave a painful
remembrance of the carnage just occurred. Boston-based Comadose and
their debut "Re-Up" for the year and a half old Screaming
Ferret
label-embraces the Nu-Metal tradition in an unsettling display of power,
might and humble intricacies that recall the glory years of FTM combined
with the aggressive tactics of a Biohazard! The six-member onslaught
kinda makes the idea of "Just another band out of Boston"
cringe under
the force of this twenty five year long fuse lent to mega-destructive
principles Hard Rock music has awaited and accepted. Lyrically zoned in
on the usual angry at the world charm-and let's face it, it ain't
getting any better from this point forward-though I like their Barnum
&
Bailey "Greatest Show On Earth" cover concept which goes
totally against
the music contained therein but it's fun to look at and something else
to absorb when you've you slip open the insert and tire of the tough guy
tirade. Not a bad first entry into the faultless fray of angst-Rock
with seven inescapable and unkindly tunes that suffer at times from
studio muffling but then the general idea of suffering finds its way
through clearly enough so what's it matter?
