Destiny's End
"Transition"
Metal Blade Records

By Vinnie Apicella Destiny's End, a name fast growing among the legion of Power hungry Metal fans, once starving in the America's and slowly but surely attaining the once evasive satisfaction previously afforded an overseas-only market. At the forefront of the resurgence of American Power Metal and Thrash, comes Destiny's End, featuring former Helstar vocalist James Rivera and basically all of what once was New Eden, this five some bore of traditional Metal fury exemplifies the rising talents of carefully constructed aggression and melodic precision. similarities to what once was Helstar, former Speed/Thrash Metal outfit that came to be at the wrong time and doomed to be dealt the death blow before making much of an impact. but the longer this goes on, the more we find out just how important many of those seemingly insignificant acts of brevity and bravado surely were-in fact we can expect a Helstar reunion later this summer for Germany's "Bang Your Head" Festival. But the present is more than covered by this well-groomed yet tenacious masterwork known as "Transition." Many will recognize Destiny's End from their "Breathe Deep the Dark" debut of a few years ago and be thankful little has changed. With the addition of a new guitarist, their rhythmic rapidity remains unscathed and blistering, broken and blaring tracks such as "The Watcher," "The Suffering," and "Storm Clouds" cry out with a vengeance for the glory days where dreams of damnation and destiny infiltrated inspired lyrics and the world, grim and grandiose, was still an interesting place to discover. Destiny's End.
