By Wayne Klinger I always get excited when I hear the country Brazil..why? You should know alot of great bands from their besides Sepultura and Angra. I can rattle off great bands like Mutilator,Taurus, Korzus,Avalon,MX,Sarcofago and many others. Engrave has only been around since '95; they're an impressive 5-piece prog-heavy band with the 80's flavor of Maiden and Helloween with a modern touch of Dream Theater. 9 tracks ironically produced by Heros Trench who did Korzus.The CD is rich in keyboards and solowork...both very emphatic and quality listening. The only bad note was Davi Dantos on vocals..does a decent job but tends to strain alot on notes in various songs..not sure of the reason but nothing to really effect this band's talent in all other aspects.From what I read,this band has never played outside the country..if there is a day they do,I'm sure their fanbase will grow dramatically; they have the talent and play the way Europeans traditionally fall in love with. megahard@progressive.com.br www.progressive.com.br Engrave: alemarg@ibm.net
