Alot of you should know
about this punk/hardcore and alternative label
out of California. What I find interesting is the smaller labels hitting
the New England states for bands; good example is the label Screaming
Ferret working on the same faction but more metal oriented.
Garrison is a 4-piece from Boston that has been pretty busy
since igniting out of their homestate in 1998 with an earlier
full-length,a 7" and a split under their belts already. The CD is
10
tracks of pop,metal/alternative in the form of Cheerleadr (correct
spelling!) colliding with Radiohead. There's a little hardcore/punk
influence but seems to be just another venting tol for the band and it
works well! Personal faves on here are "Focus,Focus,Focus" and
"Dump The
Body" (Yes,lyrically they could be the band for the CBS show
"CSI"). If
like me and you haven't heard of them, it wouldn't hurt to clean your
"criminal" record and give them a confessional and listen to
this CD by
all means.
