"Tempting The Devil"
By Jonathan Mariante Yes, that is how they spell their name! Se7enty Se7en are a new rock band who have just released a three-song CD (with a very cool cover!). The three songs are "Zero",the title track, and "Heaven In Your Eyes". They play aggressive, raunchy hard rock in the vein of Motley Crue and Skid Row, with a dash of Sex Pistols thrown in. They play rough ready, and tight, something that is lacking quite a bit in todays rock scene. It's hard to write an in-depth, lengthy review of a disc with only three songs, but these guys do have balls and talent, and could be successful, given the right breaks (and their cover alone is enough to get them attention-it sure got mine!). The music world could definitely use more bands like this, to give it the kick in the ass it needs desperately!
