You've gotta love this
band. They're a combination of The Rocky Horror
Picture Show, punk, glam and rock 'n' roll. They remind me of bands like
Young & Fabulous and Silverstar & The Jukebox Angels. They're
very, very
entertaining and I can't get enough of this release. "Pie In The
Sky"
features thirteen songs and it has a running time of 44 minutes and 16
seconds. It's a fun album to listen to. I guess you could say it's a
true party album...and that's what rock 'n' roll is supposed to be all
about. It's music like this that made me want to get into doing album
reviews. I would pick up a CD such as this and I'd wanna tell all my
friends about it in order to get 'em to check it out. But, you can only
take the word of mouth thing so far. You want your favorite bands to
become huge stars...like Ozzy Osbourne huge...and, in order to do that,
you have to be able to reach as many people as you possibly can and we
all know that people get into reading album reviews. You're reading this
now, aren't you?
Yeah, well, like I said, there's thirteen songs on this release,
including a cover version of the Sonny & Cher classic "I Got
You Babe."
Another interesting aspect of this album is the combination of male and
female vocals. It gives the album a little more variety and, as you all
know, variety is the spice of life.
"Pie In The Sky" is a very upbeat album and, like I said, it's
a fun
album to listen to. You've got aggressive music, dark music, music with
a message and all that other stuff. That's all well and good...and it's
cool if you're into all of that. I get into a lot of it myself. But, the
key word in music should always be FUN and if that's what you're looking
for in a band, well, Spooky Pie should be at the top of your list.
