I was suprised by this release...mainly because I noticed that they
were
a Pennsylvania band. I'm involved in the scene here in my area (state)
and this is a band that's new to me. Haven't really heard of them.
Anyway, "Cannon To A Whisper" isn't a bad release. They give you ten
songs that come across as, oh, I don't know, alternative college rock.
That's what I would call it. I hear stuff like this on a local radio
show that plays, of course, local music. At times, this release seemed
a
bit, shall we say, mellow for my tastes. But, it does have a few fine
moments as far as my personal listening pleasure goes. There's some
cool
guitar work to be found on here and it's a totally profesional package,
which is what I like to see from area artists. Now that I know the band
name, I'll have to keep an eye out for them to see how well they blend
into the area, to see if people are catching on. If you wanna catch on,
be sure to check out their web page.
