"Cannon to a Whisper"

I was suprised by this release...mainly because I noticed that they were a Pennsylvania band. I'm involved in the scene here in my area (state) and this is a band that's new to me. Haven't really heard of them. Anyway, "Cannon To A Whisper" isn't a bad release. They give you ten songs that come across as, oh, I don't know, alternative college rock. That's what I would call it. I hear stuff like this on a local radio show that plays, of course, local music. At times, this release seemed a bit, shall we say, mellow for my tastes. But, it does have a few fine moments as far as my personal listening pleasure goes. There's some cool guitar work to be found on here and it's a totally profesional package, which is what I like to see from area artists. Now that I know the band name, I'll have to keep an eye out for them to see how well they blend into the area, to see if people are catching on.
